Vacancy Details
A total of 731 vacancies have been announced across various Central Government Ministries and Departments:
- Stenographer Grade 'C': Group B (Non-Gazetted)
- Stenographer Grade 'D': Group C
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th Standard (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
- Age Limit (As on Aug 1, 2026):
- Grade C: 18 to 30 Years
- Grade D: 18 to 27 Years
- (Age relaxation as per Govt. rules)
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
- Computer Based Examination (CBT):
- General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 Marks)
- General Awareness (50 Marks)
- English Language & Comprehension (100 Marks)
- Skill Test in Stenography: Candidates will be given a dictation for 10 minutes in English/Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. (Grade C) and 80 w.p.m. (Grade D).
How to Apply?
- Visit the new official SSC portal: ssc.gov.in.
- Complete your One Time Registration (OTR) if not done already.
- Login and click on 'Apply' for Stenographer Grade C & D Exam 2026.
- Upload a live photograph (using the new SSC App/Website feature) and signature.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- (Women/SC/ST/PwBD/ESM are exempted).
- Submit the form and save the PDF.
