2. Eligibility Criteria & Mandatory Rules

Candidates must satisfy all specific educational and tracking metrics to become eligible for direct cut-off processing:

  • Academic Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from recognized boards.
  • The Mandatory Entrance Clause: Candidates must have mandatory appearance logs in the JEE Main 2026 entrance examination. The SSB call-letter shortlisting ranks will be strictly formulated based on Common Rank List (CRL) matrices.
  • Age Limit Frame: Candidate must not be under 16½ years and above 19½ years on the first day of the course month (Born between 02 July 2007 and 01 July 2010, both dates inclusive).

3. Selection & Training Process Scheme

  1. Shortlisting on CRL Rank: Candidates are filtered strictly based on JEE Main CRL rankings and PCM percentages.
  2. Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview: Shortlisted profiles will receive call-up slots for a 5-day psychological, intelligence, and group testing round at selection centers (Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Kapurthala).
  3. Medical Examination Round: Standard rigid physical medical fit clearances.
  4. Engineering Cadet Training: Selected candidates undergo 4 years of comprehensive engineering cadet training programs leading to a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree and permanent commission as a Lieutenant rank officer.
